Yoga

We offer unique and small class size Yoga sessions.  Each Yoga class is taught by a Yoga Instructor who is also a Physical Therapist.  Each session is tailored to meet your needs.  All classes range from only 3-6 students for more personalized attention.  This is the way we like it and the way we want you to experience it. 



Yoga is a mindful movement practice that combines body and breath awareness with poses and movements to increase mental and physical flexibility, strength and endurance. Physical benefits include better flexibility, posture, balance and muscle tone. The therapeutic benefits of a regular mind-body focused yoga practice include decreased body tension and stress, decreased pain, increased energy and ease of movement, just as a few examples.


Whether performed individually or in a small group setting, yoga is a personal practice in which you can focus on what your body needs, whether it be strength, stability, flexibility, or balance- of the body, mind, spirit " or a combination of all of the above. One of the greatest benefits of yoga is the potential for change to occur throughout the body, mind or spirit, by working through body and breath awareness.


Our yoga classes combine safe movement, stretching and balance with breathing and meditation practices that are accessible to all, regardless of your past history of injuries or exercise. Classes are designed to help you find a practice that is safe and comfortable for your body, so you can walk away feeling more balanced and at ease in your body.



Beginners Yoga

This class is suitable for students just starting out, and will introduce students to the beginning poses and terminology of yoga. Appropriate for those wanting to build strength, core stability, flexibility and endurance. If you have injuries, problems moving, or health conditions you may be given modified postures to enhance the benefit for you. This class includes the teaching of gentle pranayama (breathing practices), relaxation and meditation. Class size is limited to 6.  Must have 3 people to hold the class.



Beginner / Intermediate Yoga
Open to beginner or seasoned students. Appropriate for those who have worked through managing their injuries, with a reasonable level of fitness. This class will focus on refining your yoga practice with principles of core strength and alignment, to protect the body from injury or overuse. Modifications will be provided as needed. This class includes the teaching of gentle pranayama (breathing practices), relaxation and meditation.  This class is limited to 6 students.  Need to have 3 students to hold the class.
